Integrated Marketing for Hotels & Ryokan

Integrated Marketing for
Hotels & Ryokan

What we usually find in accommodation marketing isn't one weak piece; it's pieces that never connect. We redraw awareness, direct bookings and LINE return visits as a single plan.

  • Google (SEO)
  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • Official LINE account

Issues

Three places where the pieces stop connecting in accommodation marketing

01

Awareness works, and they go back to the OTA

The rate plan pages on the official site are dated, and on a phone you can't get as far as availability. Of course the traveller goes back to the OTA screen they know.

The fixWe put rate plan pages that reach availability on a phone in order and land people there.

02

Nobody knows which programme produced the booking

OTAs, the phone, the official site, social. The numbers live in different places and nobody reconciles them, and the month goes by.

The fixWe put the pixel, GA4 and UTMs on the booking engine and lay bookings by channel side by side.

03

No contact after the stay

This should be a product people come back to, and the contact still ends at check-out.

The fixThanks, the review request and seasonal rate plan prompts go into LINE message sequences.

Process

From analysis to analysis and improvement: how it actually runs at a hotel or ryokan

Workflow

Overall design through awareness work, the measurement layer, LINE return visits and improvement, taken on by us throughout

Phase01

Assessment and overall design
  • Mapping the booking channels
  • KGI and KPI design
  • Identifying the slots to fill

We lay out where today's bookings come from first.

We ask about your booking channel mix, when occupancy drops and the rate you are aiming at. We identify the bottleneck, then set the KGI, KPIs and annual split.

Phase02

Running the awareness work
  • Messaging design
  • SEO, managed social and advertising
  • Producing the rate plan landing page

The form changes by platform; what we say doesn't.

We turn the message into creative and combine SEO, managed social and advertising. The landing page it lands on is produced by us too.

Phase03

Building the conversion measurement layer
  • Tracking tags and UTM structure
  • The booking channel dashboard
  • Layered KPIs

We get it to a state where which programme drove bookings can be counted.

The pixel, CAPI, GA4 and UTMs go in, and bookings via OTAs, the phone, the official site and social land on one page. What worked becomes visible there.

Phase04

Nurturing design
  • LINE scenario design
  • Segmented and step messaging
  • Running the review replies

We connect what happens after the stay to the next booking.

We build the LINE official account sequences and send them automatically from the stay date. The rules and templates for replying to reviews get put in order alongside.

Illustration of the analysis phase reallocating budget from the booking channel numbers

Phase05

Analysis and improvement
  • Monthly reporting
  • Budget reallocation
  • Next month's plan

We keep moving towards what is working.

What leads the monthly report isn't views; it's arrivals at the booking page, direct bookings, and the OTA-to-direct ratio. The budget gets reallocated from that.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked by hotels and ryokan

What's different from commissioning social and advertising separately?

Commissioned separately, social reports views and advertising reports CPA, the language never lines up, and which one produced the booking stays unknown. Our reporting runs on the same booking-channel numbers from awareness to direct bookings to LINE return visits.

We have an official site. Does it need rebuilding?

Rebuilding the whole thing is rarely necessary. Shortening the distance from the rate plan page to the booking button alone moves numbers. Where a landing page is needed, we produce it.

Will you handle configuring the booking system and Channel manager as well?

We will. The measurement and path design sit with us, while configuration and booking system integration fall under system integration for hotels and ryokan. Replacing the system you have isn't the premise.

We have a LINE official account, and barely use it.

For a property, LINE is the place that reminds people of you again. That's how we design it. Thanks, the review request, seasonal rate plans and availability prompts go into sequences from the stay date, split by segment.

Doing everything at once isn't possible. Where do we start?

By getting it countable. Until you can see which channel bookings arrive through, nothing you add can be judged. After that, we narrow to the work that fills the periods where occupancy drops.

Do you have marketing results with accommodation?

For accommodation we can show you managed social media and POV video work. There is more on the Social media management for hotels and ryokan page.
