POV Video Production for Hotels & Ryokan

POV Video for
Hotels & Ryokan

We turn a hotel or ryokan stay, from check-in to the room, the big bath and breakfast, into first-person (POV) vertical short video seen exactly as a guest sees it, and use it to drive direct bookings and branded search. As the first SNS marketing company in Japan to be an official Insta360 partner, we bring high-quality creative to everything end to end, from deciding what to show to filming, editing, posting on Instagram and TikTok and turning the videos that land into ads, shaped to your business.

Why POV

4 benefits of POV video for hotels and ryokan

  • Illustration of a traveller watching travel video on a phone, with a dotted line to a distant booking button that breaks off

    Merit 01

    Longer viewing

Doesn't look like an ad, so people watch to the end

The more polished a video is, the more it looks like an ad, and it's forgotten by the time people choose where to stay. POV follows the guest's eyes, gets watched longer than typical reels, and sticks in memory and in saves.

  • Illustration of a small inn buried in a long list of accommodation booking sites

    Merit 02

    Experience first

    Show what photos can't

On booking sites full of similar photos, what you only learn by staying never comes across. POV shifts the focus from a person to the experience, so viewers feel as if they have walked into the room.

  • Illustration of a housekeeping trolley left in a corridor, one staff member covering several rooms, and an empty name-badge rack

    Merit 03

    No performers

Show the work without showing faces

What housekeeping and front desk work is really like never makes it into a job ad. With POV there are no performers and no staff faces on camera, and applicants see the flow of the work through the staff's eyes before they apply.

  • Illustration of a booking calendar full of blank dates and a deserted hotel front desk

    Merit 04

    Plenty of videos

Build up volume without stopping operations

A typical shoot yields only a few videos. You can't schedule many a month, and posting stops in peak season. POV is filmed in walking order and cut up afterward, so a few shoots give you plenty of videos.

Why TripClear

Four reasons hotels and ryokan choose TripClear for POV video

  • Illustration of a studio where a person wearing a chest-mounted first-person camera is flanked by a director at a monitor and an editor in headphones

    Reason 01

    Japan's first

    A professional POV team

The shoot is handled by the team of the first social media marketing company in Japan to earn official Insta360 partnership. We film in the order a guest stays, from the entrance to the key, the door, the window and the bath, so there's no need to arrange anyone's appearance on camera.

  • Illustration of play, heart and save icons rising from a row of vertical phones, with a growth curve behind and a sprout at their feet

    Reason 02

    10M+views/month

An organic track record that speaks for itself

We bring the judgment we built growing accounts without ad spend to your property. We pick the winners by saves and average watch time, then put them to work on your room plan pages and in paid ads.

  • Illustration of cards showing the scenes to feature, connected by arrows to a vertical video frame

    Reason 03

    Sharp angles

    Hands-on insight across industries

We film what guests don't usually see. Room cleaning, the large bath, breakfast prep: we list the scenes and settle the shooting order and number of videos up front.

  • Illustration of icons for strategy, planning, filming, posting and analysis on a single loop around a vertical phone

    Reason 04

    Fully handled

From filming to reuse, all in one place

One or two batch shoots a month, with 12 videos' worth from two hours. Posting continues through peak season, and the staff's-eye video shot the same day goes to your careers page and job ads.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked by hotels and ryokan

Can you convey what's good about the property without putting anyone on camera?

It comes through without talent. POV moves the lead role from a person to an experience: the camera traces the guest's line of sight, so viewers watch it as though they had walked into that room. If you do want faces, we plan that separately, with consent agreed.

Can we avoid stopping the operation? What happens in the busy season?

The operation doesn't stop. One operator tracing the guest route gives twelve videos in two hours. Batch shoots happen once or twice a month outside check-in and breakfast hours, so delivery continues through the peak.

Can we ask for production only? We'd like to post and manage it ourselves.

Production only is fine. Concept, filming and editing with us, posting and analysis with the property. If you want posting, analysis and monthly reporting included, that becomes a social media management plan.

How many videos can we start with?

Start with a single video if you like. For ongoing work there are three plans, five, eight or twelve a month, and trying a volume for one month first is perfectly fine.

There are places we can't film, and limits on music.

At the first meeting we check five things: no-film areas, confidential information, likeness, music and industry rules. We don't film routes where other guests appear, or personal belongings in rooms. Music is limited to tracks licensed for commercial use.

Can the videos be used in ads and on our own site?

Both. Delivered video includes secondary use, so paid social, plan pages, in-house screens and sales material are all open to you. Swap the subtitles and voiceover and it works in other languages too.

What does it cost, and what is the going rate?

Social media management and POV video production come as a single plan, from JPY 300,000 a month. Pricing moves with the number of videos and the ideas behind them, so we quote individually once we know how often you want to film and what the concepts are. Secondary use is allowed, and recommendations for linking with ads are included. There is no charge for filming equipment (as an official Insta360 partner, we lend it). If ads are run, media spend is charged separately at cost.

Which company runs this service?
