Booking System and
Ad Integration
for Restaurants

How many bookings did the ad spend add? We connect LINE, advertising and your booking system through measurement, on the diary you already have, and produce that number.

Issues

When restaurant marketing doesn't turn into numbers, these are the three places it's stuck

01

You can't talk about ads in bookings

Without a measurement tag on the booking completion page, there is no telling how many bookings the ads produced. All you keep is clicks.

The fixA pixel and CAPI on the booking completion page, so it reads as bookings and cost per booking.

02

The ways in are scattered

The phone, the portals, DMs and LINE. Each entry point holds tables differently, and somebody still copies it all into the diary by hand.

The fixThe diary stays as it is. We send people straight from LINE to a booking, with confirmations and reminders automated.

03

It disappears just short of the booking

The number of taps from the profile to a booking, map information left out of date. A few seconds of friction and the interest is gone.

The fixWe cut the taps from profile to booking and bring the map information up to date.

Process

From taking stock to going live: how it actually runs at a restaurant

Workflow

What we need is account details for the tools you use, and how things flow from a booking coming in to people sitting down. That's all

Phase01

Discovery and taking stock of the booking paths
  • The mix of booking channels
  • Checking the diary and the tools
  • Identifying the manual work

It starts with counting the ways in, and their shares, together.

The phone, the portals, your own site, social. We look at each share and at the state of the diary, LINE and the ad accounts, and judge whether the diary needs replacing.

Phase02

Designing the path and the measurement
  • Designing the path to a booking
  • Deciding what gets measured
  • Separating it out by site

From watching the video to sitting down becomes one continuous line.

Social and advertising, LINE, maps, the booking system. We draw and share a single diagram of what each handles and where the data goes, then decide and propose what counts as a result.

Phase03

Implementing the configuration and integrations
  • Pixel and Conversions API
  • Connecting LINE to the booking system
  • Google Business Profile

Every bit of work inside the admin screens is ours.

We put the pixel and Conversions API on the booking completion page, connect LINE to the booking system, and go on to the reminder messages and putting the map listing in order. The hands doing it are ours.

Phase04

Test bookings and handover to your team
  • Testing with a real booking
  • Confirming how tables are held
  • Manuals and training

We put a real booking through until nothing on the floor is unclear.

Test bookings confirm how notifications arrive, how tables and set menus are held, and the wording of the reminders. The switch happens after the operating manual is handed over.

Phase05

Optimization
  • Monthly booking report
  • Running the LINE messaging
  • Fed back into social and advertising

After launch we keep fixing it against the booking numbers.

The monthly report carries bookings, the mix by route and cost per booking from advertising. Whatever path responded goes back into the social media and the delivery plan.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked by restaurants

Can we keep the booking diary we already use?

There is no need to change it. We build around what you use: TableCheck, Toreta, Gurunavi, Tabelog booking, RESERVA. Existing bookings and customer data stay as they are. We only raise switching when it is clearly less work.

Most of our bookings come by phone. Can ad results still be measured?

Not completely. There is still enough to judge on: taps to call and directions requests on maps, link clicks, and bookings compared between weeks with and without delivery. We read those together.

Can we ask for just the measurement, or just part of the work?

Just part is fine. Only configuring the pixel and Conversions API, only connecting LINE to the booking system, only putting the Google Business Profile in order. One-off work like that is welcome.

How is the fee decided?

The initial configuration and build is a one-off priced to the work involved, and day-to-day operations are monthly. Two lines. The proposal is free, and we put it together after hearing about your tools and how you work.

How long until it's in place? Do we have to close?

Measurement and integration alone takes from a few weeks. Including introducing online booking, we plan to the scope. The admin work happens on our side, so there is no need to close.

Can no-shows be reduced?

There is room to reduce them. Connect the booking system to LINE so confirmations and day-before reminders go out automatically, and state the cancellation policy before the booking is made. From everything we have run, those are the two we recommend.
