Influencer PR & Casting for Restaurants

Restaurants

What holds covers back at a new site isn't the food or the location; it's simply not being known. Selection, attending the shoot and repurposing into ads all sit with us.

Issues

Three things that actually get stuck when a restaurant works with influencers

Illustration of an owner looking up at a jagged bookings chart, with a full dining room at night and empty tables at lunch

01

The gap between full days and empty ones is wide

Weekend evenings sell out while weekdays and lunch stay empty. With no lever other than price, the seats keep emptying.

The fixThe visit happens in the hours you want filled, weekday or lunchtime, and the post keeps the restaurant at that hour.

02

Posting in-house doesn't last

During service neither the kitchen nor the floor has a free hand. Filming and posting get pushed back, and all that's left is the equipment.

The fixFilming and posting complete on the creator's side. We attend, and service never stops.

03

On a comparison screen, there's no reason to pick you

Star ratings and photos alone don't separate anyone. A restaurant with no words from someone who actually went drops off the shortlist.

The fixWe pick people who can reach your catchment and build the post as the words of someone who actually went.

Process

From selection through posting and measurement: how it actually runs at a restaurant

Workflow

Shortlisting and negotiation through attending the shoot, reviewing the post and measurement, all through one point of contact

Illustration of a kick-off meeting making the gap between the restaurant's position and its targets visible

Phase01

Kickoff meeting
  • The days and hours you want filled
  • Confirming the catchment and clientele
  • Defining the conversion point

It starts with which seats, when, and filled by whom.

Covers and average spend, the days and hours the seats go empty, and how people travel to you. We ask about those, then decide what the PR is going after.

Phase02

Casting plan
  • A shortlist based on first-hand data
  • Checking the overlap with your catchment
  • Secondary usage rights, planned in

We judge who can actually get to you on data we have checked.

We check average views over the last one to three months, where followers live and their ages, and their record on food campaigns, then present the candidates split into segments. Secondary-use permission gets settled here too.

Phase03

Visit, filming and posting
  • Visiting in the quiet hours
  • Attending the shoot and directing
  • Pre-publication review

From the visit to the post, we hold the schedule as a single point of contact.

Visits are weighted to the quiet hours or just after opening. On the day we attend and direct the shoot. The post and the PR disclosure are checked before publication.

Phase04

Measurement after the post, and repurposing into ads
  • Insight collection
  • Reconciled with bookings and covers
  • Turning winners into ads

We confirm the result in numbers, and turn what grew into the next visit.

We report the insights collected on views, saves and profile visits alongside bookings and covers. Posts that grew get repurposed into advertising confined to your catchment.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked by restaurants

Should we just go to food influencers with big followings?

We don't select on follower count alone. What we look at is average views over the last one to three months, and whether their followers are close enough to reach you. We hand over a checked shortlist.

How is the fee decided?

What moves the cost is the number of creators and the size of their followings, the platforms, whether we attend the shoot, and the scope of secondary use. We present the quote alongside the candidate list.

We want this ready for a new opening. How far in advance should we start?

One to two weeks for the shortlist. Including negotiation, contracting and post review, coming to us one to two months ahead is comfortable. Internal approvals run alongside the shortlisting.

Does the filming mean stopping service?

Service never stops. Visits are weighted to the quiet hours or just after opening, and our staff manage the schedule. What may be filmed, and the rules on who appears, are agreed beforehand.

How do you handle the stealth marketing rules?

The responsible party isn't the poster but the restaurant, which is to say you. Identifying the advertiser and labelling the relationship with #PR or similar go into the per-post checklist and into the contract.

Can we use the posts in our own advertising afterwards?

You can run them as ads unchanged. Secondary-use permission is built into the plan from the start, so they can run as Spark Ads or partnership ads under the creator's own account.
