Influencer PR & Casting for Construction

Influencer PR for
Construction & Homebuilders

What someone thinking about building looks at first isn't advertising; it's a post by someone who built at the same time. Selection, filming and repurposing into ads all sit with us.

Issues

Three things that actually get stuck on influencer PR for construction firms

Illustration of an open-house venue with chairs in neat rows and only a scattering of people seated

01

Nobody comes to the open house

You publish the dates and attendance is still a guess. Unknown in your catchment, all you line up is chairs.

The fixWe work back from the open-house date and have creators whose audience overlaps your catchment post from the day.

02

Nobody stops for a paper notice

Flyers and noticeboards get glanced at in passing and that's it. They never reach the people thinking about building right now.

The fixThrough home, lifestyle and family creators, we reach the people who are thinking about building.

03

Nobody on site has a hand free

Trades and site managers put the site first, and filming and posting come last. The work most worth showing never leaves the site.

The fixFilming and posting complete on the creator's side, and we attend on the day of the open house.

Process

From kick-off to measuring open-house attendance: how it actually runs for a construction firm

Workflow

Selection and negotiation through directing the shoot at the open house, posting and measurement, supported end to end

Phase01

Kickoff meeting
  • Understanding where you are and where you want to be
  • Defining the conversion point
  • Confirming the catchment and the client profile

It starts with which open house, what kind of client, and how many.

First we ask about your annual number of builds, how often you run open houses, and the routes and volume of your current enquiries. The conversion points are attendance, brochure requests and LINE sign-ups.

Phase02

Casting plan
  • A shortlist based on first-hand data
  • Number of creators and quote
  • Secondary usage rights, planned in

What we look at isn't follower count; it's recent average views and the overlap with your catchment.

We put forward candidates from home, lifestyle, DIY and family creators, and assess them on recent average views, follower age and location, and their record on brand partnerships.

Phase03

Filming and publication
  • Worked back from the open-house date
  • Shoot direction
  • Pre-publication review

From the shoot day to the posting day, we act as the single point of contact and manage it all.

Starting from the open-house date, we work back to the filming, review and posting dates. On the day we attend and agree on site what may be filmed.

Phase04

Post-campaign measurement
  • Insight collection
  • Reconciled with open-house attendance
  • Turning winners into ads

What we verify against isn't views; it's attendance and brochure requests.

We take the insights collected and report them alongside the record of open-house bookings, attendance and brochure requests. Posts that got a good response go into advertising.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked by construction firms and homebuilders

Do you have influencer PR results with construction firms and homebuilders?

We walk through examples and the process from close industries when we meet. How social media management runs for construction firms is collected on the Social media management for construction firms page.

What kind of creators do you cast? Is a bigger following better?

A big following isn't what decides it. We put forward candidates from home, lifestyle, DIY and family creators and narrow on average views over the last one to three months, and on follower age and location.

If they film at a completed-home open house, what about the client and the neighbours?

What may appear in frame is agreed in writing beforehand. Filming a client's home requires their consent. Nameplates, car number plates and neighbouring buildings are checked twice, at the shoot and at the edit.

What about the stealth marketing rules?

Presenting advertising without disclosing it breaches advertising law, and the party responsible is you, as the advertiser. The disclosure rules, the contract and the review process are all in place before casting.

A house is a long consideration cycle. Can one post really do anything?

One post can't. We set open-house attendance, brochure requests and LINE sign-ups as the conversion points, and repurpose posts that grew into advertising to keep building contact through the consideration period.

Can we start small?

You can. One or two creators, or a single video, is a valid entry point, and we can build something short covering only the next open house.
