Recruit Marketing for Sports & Entertainment

Recruitment Marketing for
Sport & Entertainment

Someone who joined only because they could work around a sport they love leaves once they learn what the job is. We show a day in operations and at the venue on video, and take applications through a landing page and LINE.

Issues

Three things that actually get stuck in club and venue recruitment

Illustration of a stadium stand with many empty seats

01

They leave once they learn what the job is

Most of the job is sponsor liaison, running the venue, accounts and admin, and the hours are the inverse of everyone else's. Neither appears on a job posting.

The fixWe film from set-up to load-out through the eyes of the operations staff, and disclose the inconvenient parts up front.

02

Only the listing fees are fixed

A pay-to-list job board costs the same whether or not anyone applies. Hiring a few people a year makes the per-hire burden heavier still.

The fixOnly the videos that got a response go into delivery confined to the commuting area, judged on cost per application.

03

There's a distance from younger recruits

When the team is busy and the posting stops, anyone who looks up the company name sees nothing of the work. If the person responsible moves on, it stays stopped.

The fixWe put the workplace on a recruitment landing page and LINE, so it keeps reaching people even when staff change.

Process

From the first conversation to going live. All you provide is the time to film

Workflow

Strategy, filming, the landing page, advertising and LINE, all held by us rather than split up

Phase01

Discovery and persona work
  • Vacancies by role
  • Putting into words why people stay
  • How much inconvenience to disclose

It starts with which roles, and how many people short.

We ask about shortages in club operations, the venue and event operations, your recruitment spend and your retention. Why people stayed, and the inconvenient parts, get turned into words here.

Phase02

Filming
  • Behind the scenes on matchday
  • First person (POV)
  • Works without faces

We film behind the scenes on matchday as it is.

From set-up to doors, the posts and load-out, filmed through the eyes of the operations staff. Where filming may happen is agreed with the operations lead in advance.

Phase03

Build
  • Dedicated recruitment landing page
  • Four videos and three banners
  • Official LINE and ad accounts

We put the place applications land in order before delivery.

A dedicated recruitment landing page with video and banners, plus the LINE application path and the ad account. The legally required details get built in at this point.

Phase04

Launch
  • As little as ten working days after filming
  • Meta and TikTok
  • Split between the commuting area and people interested in the sport

Delivery starts as little as ten working days after filming.

We take the delivery in the first month, narrowing it to within travelling distance of the venue and by age, and tracking applications and cost per application daily.

Phase05

Optimization
  • Budget reallocated on cost per application
  • Ongoing landing page improvement
  • Followed through to retention after joining

Budget keeps concentrating on the videos that work.

We keep fixing the landing page and the opening seconds, moving budget to the placements with the lowest cost per application. Applications, cost per application and interview rate come together monthly.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked in sport and entertainment

Won't filming on a matchday or event day get in the way of operations?

It won't. One operator traces the operations team's route, with no talent and no lighting to arrange. What stays out of frame is agreed the day before.

Doesn't a recruitment video need players or performers in it?

It works without them. The lead role is the operations staff. In our experience, who you'd be working with and how the day runs come through perfectly well without a player on screen.

We hire a few people a year. Is there any point posting widely on social?

There is. The aim isn't reach; it's putting the workplace where anyone who looks up your name will definitely see it. Delivery can be narrowed by area and age.

Do social posts need the same disclosures as a job posting?

They do. Under the Employment Security Act, six items — the employer's name, address and contact details, the duties, the location and the pay — must appear in the post itself.

Can it be used for one-off and short-term hiring, like event staff and casual roles?

It can. Prepare the workplace video, the dedicated landing page and the LINE path once and you don't rebuild it from scratch for every vacancy.

Do you have results in sport and entertainment?

We explain the process and examples from close industries when we meet. What we have done in sport is collected on the influencer PR for sport and entertainment page.
