POV Video Production for Travel Agencies

POV Video for
Travel Agencies

From the meeting point to the room at the inn, the people who walk the itinerary are the planner and the tour conductor. We make POV video that turns their view straight into vertical video, start to finish, without putting talent on camera.

  • Instagram Reels
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Reuse on product pages and in ads

Why POV

4 benefits of POV video for travel agencies

  • Illustration of tour product cards lined up with the same wide landscape photo, impossible to tell apart

    Merit 01

    Longer viewing

Follow the itinerary as your own trip

Pasting in suppliers' footage doesn't show what is good about the itinerary. POV that follows the walking order lets viewers follow it to the end as their own trip.

  • Illustration of a tour conductor's empty desk and a counter assistant handling several enquiries alone

    Merit 02

    Helps with hiring

Show a tour conductor's day before people apply

A tour conductor's day never makes it into job ads, and footage of the work tends to sit outside your promotion. POV that follows the day from the conductor's view turns the tour footage into an introduction to the job.

  • Illustration of a person walking while filming in first person with a compact camera on their chest

    Merit 03

    No performers

    No likeness-rights deadlines

Hire models or talent and usage periods, fees and replacement work follow. POV has no performers and no likeness-rights deadlines, so it can stay on product pages and in ads for a long time.

  • Illustration of thumbnails for many vertical videos produced from a single source clip

    Merit 04

    Plenty of videos

Plenty of videos from one trip

When the same staff plan tours and escort them, there is no day to spare for a filming trip. POV films the itinerary straight through and cuts it by scene, so one trip yields a good batch of videos.

Why TripClear

Four reasons travel agencies choose TripClear for POV video

  • Illustration of a studio where a person wearing a chest-mounted first-person camera is flanked by a director at a monitor and an editor in headphones

    Reason 01

    Japan's first

    A professional POV team

Our camera operator walks the same route as the tour conductor, so no casting or likeness clearance is needed. It's filmed by Japan's first social media marketing company to become an official Insta360 partner.

  • Illustration of play, heart and save icons rising from a row of vertical phones, with a growth curve behind and a sprout at their feet

    Reason 02

    10M+views/month

An organic track record that speaks for itself

With judgment built through organic account growth, we decide which videos go into ads. How far they can be reused on product pages, in-store signage and ads is written into the contract up front.

  • Illustration of cards showing the scenes to feature, connected by arrows to a vertical video frame

    Reason 03

    Sharp angles

    Hands-on insight across industries

We start by laying out the itinerary and seeing which scenes one trip can cover. After checking five points on what may be filmed, we set the number of videos to shoot in walking order.

  • Illustration of icons for strategy, planning, filming, posting and analysis on a single loop around a vertical phone

    Reason 04

    Fully handled

From filming to reuse, all in one place

Our camera operator joins a site inspection or an escorted tour, getting 8 to 10 videos per trip. We stock up in peak season for the off-season too, and the conductor's-eye video also goes to your careers page.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked by travel agencies

Roughly how many videos can you film on one escorted tour?

As a guide, eight to ten from a six-hour day on the trip. On a tour whose itinerary stays within a city, two hours gives twelve videos' worth of material. Our operator walks the same route as the tour conductor, so the tour never stops.

Participants will end up on camera. How is their likeness handled?

As a rule we film so participants' faces don't appear. We follow the itinerary from the operator's point of view, so what appears is hands, scenery and food. Where someone can't be kept out of shot, we cut them out shot by shot before publication.

Can a tour's appeal come across without talent on camera?

It can. Moving the lead role from a person to the itinerary makes viewers feel they are on the tour themselves. No staff or models need to appear, and there's the added benefit that it can stay on product pages without worrying about how long a likeness may be used.

Do we need permission to film at suppliers' hotels and venues?

We draw the line on scope at the first meeting. We check five things on one list: no-film areas, confidential information, likeness, music and industry rules. Places that need an application to the supplier are identified up front, and the plan is built only from what can be filmed.

Can the delivered videos be used outside social media?

Product pages, in-store screens, ads and the recruitment page are all open to you. Use, period and secondary use are always written into the contract at the outset. With no talent involved, it all runs without rights clearance.

We already have footage on file. Can that be used?

We can start from that material. We pull the cuts that can be rebuilt as vertical video from footage shot on past tours or supplier video, and begin with re-editing. Finding the angle that works first, then moving to new shoots, is the reliable order.
