SNS Account Management for Travel Agencies

Social Media Management for
Travel Agencies

Destinations are decided on a vertical phone screen, and the visit to your branch comes after. Not tour announcements: managed social media that shows the planner's view walking a scouting trip.

Why SNS

4 benefits of social media for travel agencies

  • Illustration of a traveller walking past a travel agency counter lined with brochures, looking at a vertical phone screen

    Merit 01

    New reach

Reach people before they choose where to go

People who come in holding a brochure have already chosen their destination on their phone. Vertical videos reach the feeds of people still looking for where to go, itinerary and all.

  • Illustration of tour product cards lined up with the same wide landscape photo, impossible to tell apart

    Merit 02

    Builds up

Build up footage that is yours alone

With only the landscape photos suppliers send, your tour looks just like a competitor's. Videos you shoot yourself stay on your account and can be used every time you sell that destination.

  • Illustration of bookings scattered across the counter, the phone and a web form, with the tally sheet in the middle left blank

    Merit 03

    Clear results

Count the bookings social media brings

When bookings are split across stores, phone and web, no one counts who came from social media. Combine form tracking with asking customers in store, and its contribution becomes clear.

  • Illustration of a tour conductor's empty desk and a counter assistant handling several enquiries alone

    Merit 04

    Helps with hiring

Show the rewards of tour leading and counter work

Job ads list only location and pay. Videos of a tour conductor's day and the satisfaction of building an itinerary show people thinking of applying what the work really is.

Why TripClear

Four reasons travel agencies choose TripClear for social media

  • Illustration of a first-person video on a vertical phone with a long playback bar, a save icon and a search bar

    Reason 01

    3.8×

More saves, more branded search, longer viewing

POV follows the meeting point, destinations, meals and hotel through a participant's eyes. Even showing the whole itinerary, it holds viewers for 30 to 40 seconds a play, with a save rate 3.8 times higher.

    POV Studio

  • Illustration of icons for strategy, planning, filming, posting and analysis on a single loop around a vertical phone

    Reason 02

    Fully handled

    One-stop management

We start by narrowing down what to sell first, such as tours departing soon with seats left and your own packages. With tracking on the booking form, we report profile visits, booking page visits and bookings every month.

  • Illustration of a studio where a person wearing a chest-mounted first-person camera is flanked by a director at a monitor and an editor in headphones

    Reason 03

    Japan's first

    A professional POV team

We are Japan's first social media marketing company to become an official Insta360 partner. Our camera operator joins scouting trips and escorted tours, captures 8 to 10 videos' worth a day, and also films the tour conductor's point of view.

    POV Studio

  • Illustration of play, heart and save icons rising from a row of vertical phones, with a growth curve behind and a sprout at their feet

    Reason 04

    10M+views/month

An organic track record that speaks for itself

With the judgment that grew 15+ accounts without ad spend, we check where viewers drop off and the completion rate of every video. Itineraries that land well carry over into the next tour plans.

POV is another way to shoot

We use itineraries and photos from the destination too, but when you want to hand viewers the view of someone on the tour, POV is an option. Here is one example: the meeting point to the ride home in 30 seconds.

Process

From choosing the tours to sell through filming to reporting bookings: how it runs

Workflow

From choosing the tours to sell through filming, posting and monthly reporting, all taken on together

Illustration of account strategy: designing KGIs, KPIs and the funnel

Phase01

Account strategy

We decide what to sell first, and work back from there.

Illustration of the planning phase: building out storyboards and scripts

Phase02

A content plan built around departure dates

From the sales window and departure dates, we lay out when things go out first.

Illustration of the filming phase: shooting POV footage with an Insta360

Phase03

Batch filming on scouting trips and tours

We follow the same itinerary as the planner or tour conductor and film it in batches.

Illustration of the editing phase: producing captions and thumbnails

Phase04

Editing, and the pre-publication review

We tighten it to a pace people watch to the end.

Illustration of the analysis phase: reading post data and iterating

Phase05

Posting, analysis, and reporting bookings

We spot the itineraries that grew and extend them into the next ideas.

The platform mix for travel agencies, and what we watch on each

What we watchAverage watch time, full-view rate, profile visits

InstagramReels and feed The itinerary and the inn as they really are, kept in a form people save

What we watchSaves, profile visits, link clicks

YouTubecomparison and trust One tour, start to finish, at greater length

What we watchRetention rate, subscriptions, branded search

Your website and booking form The landing layer. Product pages and measurement in order to take bookings

What we watchBooking page arrivals, bookings, referrer

Official LINE account Selling again after the trip. The next departure date, sent from your side

What we watchLINE friends, bookings from messages, block rate

The mix is one example. If you already have your own account, we sometimes start by taking stock of what you post now.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked by travel agencies

Do our staff need to show their faces?

No faces needed. The basis is first-person video of the operator following the itinerary, and planners and tour conductors can take part with just their hands and voices. If someone does appear, there is a review before publication.

How is pricing decided?

Social media management and POV video production come as a single plan, from JPY 300,000 a month. We no longer offer plans priced by the number of videos. Pricing moves with the number of videos and the ideas behind them, so we quote individually once we know how often you want to film and what the concepts are. Secondary use is allowed, and recommendations for linking with ads are included. There is no charge for filming equipment (as an official Insta360 partner, we lend it). If ads are run, media spend is charged separately at cost.

Which company runs this service?

TripClear Inc., based in Shinsen-cho, Shibuya, Tokyo. Our core is social media management and vertical short-form video production, and we support travel agencies. For the company profile, see TEAM.

The only tour photos we have are the ones our suppliers provided. Can we still start?

You can start from there. The first shoot joins the planner's scouting trip or your next escorted tour. Instead of supplier photos, we gradually replace them with first-person material walking the itinerary.

Can branch and phone bookings be counted as social media results?

We make them countable. Measurement goes on the booking form, and branches and phone just add one field asking what brought the customer in. The monthly report sets the three side by side.

In peak season our staff are all out escorting tours. We have no time to help with filming.

We film by joining the tour, so we don't need your staff's help. One trip gives material for eight to ten videos, so you can build up what goes out in the quiet season in advance.

We already run an account ourselves. Can you take it over?

We can. We keep your current account and start by changing what gets posted and how often. If any past posts took off, we build concepts from that angle.

How long until we see results?

About three months, as a guide. Find the itinerary angle that works in the first month, and booking page arrivals start to move from the second: that is the general guide across our management work.
