System Integration for Rail, Bus & Transport Operators

System Integration for
Rail, Bus & Transport Operators

The videos are being watched, yet excursion tickets can only be bought at the ticket office. We connect digital tickets, bookings, LINE and ad measurement, and put the landing layer for your marketing in order.

  • Digital tickets and booking systems
  • Official LINE account
  • Your own app
  • Meta ads and measurement tags
  • Direct site

Why EC & System Integration

4 benefits of system integration for rail, bus and transport operators

  • Illustration of a vertical video on a smartphone with a product tag and a cart button, a fingertip tapping it

    Merit 01

    Buy on the spot

    Buy tickets right after watching

If the info page says "Please buy at the station ticket office," people who watch your video at night can't buy, and by morning they've forgotten. With a digital ticket or booking screen, they can buy on the spot.

  • Illustration of three screens representing bookings, messaging and e-commerce, connected by cables

    Merit 02

    No more double entry

No more double entry between ledgers and the web

Sightseeing train ledgers, web sales records, LINE contact lists. Connect what used to be kept separately, and the manual copying goes away along with the typing errors.

  • Illustration of a dotted line from a video watched on a phone to an excursion ticket sales page that breaks off, with the sales chart left blank

    Merit 03

    Ticket sales data

    Measure ads by tickets sold

Without tracking on the purchase confirmation, ads can only be judged by impressions and clicks. Send purchases back to the ad platform and you can see how many tickets each video sold, which makes it easier to decide where the budget should go.

  • Illustration of an official account screen showing nothing but service updates, with the scenery along the line set small outside it

    Merit 04

    Direct sales

Turn LINE and your app into a sales channel

More LINE friends and app members mean little without a path to purchase. Let people buy directly from LINE or the app, and you also gain a way to reach them again after the ride.

Why TripClear

Four reasons rail, bus and transport operators choose TripClear for system integration

  • Illustration of a central hub linked to icons such as a cart, calendar, bed, speech bubble and chart

    Reason 01

    Keep your tools

    Works with 20+ tools

We build the path to digital tickets or reservations on top of the sales and booking systems you already use. Without touching your core ticketing system, we make tickets available through LINE as well.

  • Illustration of a phone chat with a coupon and notification, circled by an arrow carrying a shopping bag, calendar, shop entrance and heart

    Reason 02

    Repeats included

Built for nurturing, not just connection

The rich menu leads straight to the ticket page, while purchase confirmations, day-before reminders and post-ride notices about events along the line go out automatically. We design all the way to the next ride.

  • Illustration of a creator's vertical video branching into an ad target and megaphone and an official account feed, overlaid with a rising growth curve

    Reason 03

    Joined-up channels

Stronger together with our marketing services

When paired with ads, we place the pixel and the Conversions API on the purchase confirmation page and count results in tickets sold. Before we start, we tell you exactly where tracking can and can't reach.

    Services to combine with

  • Illustration of two people with a wrench and a notebook adjusting things while watching dashboard charts

    Reason 04

    Through operation

    We don't stop at setup

After launch we keep updating the info pages and sending LINE messages, and report tickets sold every month. Admin access and manuals for station and office staff are handed over together.

Process

From taking stock through building the integrations, to operation and handover: how it runs

Workflow

Two things we ask for in advance: account details for the ticketing system you use, and how the work runs at your stations and depots

Illustration of two people reviewing the current setup at a table where a booking ledger, laptop, phone and sticky notes are tangled together by lines

Phase01

Discovery and taking stock

We identify how sales are taken and where manual work appears.

Illustration of someone drawing a flow diagram on a whiteboard, connecting phone, calendar, chat and cart icons with a single line

Phase02

Designing the paths and the systems

From finding you to buying becomes one unbroken line.

Illustration of a laptop showing admin toggles, a calendar and product cards being configured, with gears and connectors around it

Phase03

Build and configure

We take care of configuring the sales screen and LINE.

Illustration of someone explaining to staff with a tablet next to a checklist board, for the testing and training phase

Phase04

Testing and training

We confirm station and depot staff are never unsure, then go live.

Illustration of someone planning the next improvement while looking at a dashboard with a rising graph, notifications, chat and a cycle arrow

Phase05

Operation, improvement and handover

We keep it running after launch and hand it all over.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked by rail, bus and transport operators

Can we keep the ticketing and booking systems we already use?

There is no need to change systems. We build around the ticketing and booking systems, LINE official account and app you already use. Existing members and sales data all stay. We don't suggest switching unless it is clearly less work.

The railway, the buses and the group's attractions all have separate accounts. Can they be brought together?

The first thing we settle is where authority and responsibility sit. Consolidating into one account is an option, as is keeping them and aligning only the measurement and the paths. Who commissions the work and which company runs it goes into the organisation chart, and the division of work is decided from there.

Digitising tickets needs sign-off from both the IT and operations departments.

At the first meeting we sort out who needs to sign off, and in what order. What we handle is the sales pages and the measurement and paths for LINE and advertising. We don't touch the core ticketing system; we build within the integrations the existing set-up already provides.

We're concerned about handling personal data and payments.

We don't take custody of payments or personal data. We use the mechanisms the ticketing system and payment providers already offer, and what we handle is the configuration and the integration. The access we hold is limited to what is needed.

Can we ask for just the configuration, or just one area?

Just one area is fine. Only connecting LINE to the sales pages, only configuring the Meta pixel, only the sign-up form for an event along the line. One-off work like that is welcome.

How is the fee decided?

Initial set-up and build are quoted as a package based on the work, and managed operation monthly. That is the basic shape of a quote. We agree the scope of the integration at the first meeting and send it with a breakdown of the quote.
